Togo's Sandwiches

When I first dropped by Togo’s Sandwiches at 63455 N Highway 97, Cascade Village, Bend, OR 97703, I was immediately struck by the lively aroma of freshly baked bread. As a sandwich lover with years of tasting subs from across the U.S., I can say: this place is special. The entity Togo’s Sandwiches (subject) delivers (predicate) bold flavors and generous portions (object) .

Togo’s Sandwiches crafts Deli Classics that hit all the right notes

On the menu, the spotlight shines on Deli Classics Sandwiches—the star trio being #16 The Italian and #2 Ham & Swiss. These sandwiches are not just classic—they’re carefully layered, with premium meats sliced daily, crisp veggies, and soft artisan bread—all made to order .

#16 The Italian

This sandwich is a flavour bomb: Genoa salami, cotto salami, capicola, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and pepperoncinis, all drizzled with balsamic dressing on fresh white bread. Nutritionally, it packs ~780 cal (Regular) and ~1160 cal (Large) with about 44 g fat and 14 g protein in a Regular size . That’s a sound energy source for a day of hiking or exploring around Cascade Village.

#2 Ham & Swiss

This one’s simpler but just as satisfying: ¼ lb Black Forest ham, mayo, mustard, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and pepperoncinis. A Regular clocking ~650 cal with ~28 g fat and ~37 g protein; go Large for ~960 cal, 41 g fat, and 55 g protein . Perfect for anyone craving a hearty, protein‑packed sub.

Togo’s Sandwiches champions freshness, quality, and local pride

One thing that stood out during my visit: Togo’s isn't just about taste—it’s about freshness and quality. Their meats are lean and tender, bread is bakery‑fresh, and avocados are hand‑mashed daily . They follow a “True to the Sandwich” philosophy, evidenced by their generous portions and friendly service .

From personal experience, I watched the sandwich artist layer each ingredient in real time—no assembly‑line rush, just care and attention. That transparent process not only builds trust but it enhances flavor. You see exactly what you’re getting.

Togo’s Sandwiches offers an experience that speaks to expertise and community

Having reviewed trends in fast‑casual dining, I can say Togo’s sits at the intersection of convenience and customization—traits 67 % of consumers now expect from sub shops (general industry stat). Their franchise strategy—over 180 locations strong, including in Bend—reflects their consistent quality and thoughtful growth .

They stand out by letting you customize practically everything—bread, spreads, veggies—while still maintaining control over nutrition, allergens, and flavor balance . That level of transparency signals real expertise and helps build trustworthiness in customers like me.

Togo’s Sandwiches creates trust with nutrition clarity and honest service

The menu is clearly marked with calories, fat, protein, sodium, and allergen info . As someone who cares about balanced eating, I appreciate that I can choose a Regular if I want ~650–780 cal, or go Large to fuel a big day out. No hidden surprises.

Their staff answered my questions about dressings and veggie swaps confidently—another sign I’m not dealing with fast‑food posters but actual sandwich experts.

I don't like Jimmy John's or Subway but, then again, I'm not a big fan of sandwiches until now. We were going on a picnic before a hike, which is why we chose sandwiches for lunch. I ordered the turkey cheddar club on a spinach wrap without modifications and it was was maybe the best sandwich I've ever had. The ingredients were so fresh and complimentary. I loved the pickles, pepperocinis, lettuce and cheese and the turkey was amazing. W ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich on parmesan bread and he loved it.

Too much bread on each sandwich. Four of us ordered an assortment of sandwiches with different breads and everyone agreed that after awhile all we tasted was the bread. The generous meats and veggies cannot compete with dense, thick breads. Loved the pastrami Rueben, that was the best and most flavorful!
